The roll dip combo with 1 salad roll and 1 spring roll is really good, especially the spring roll. I'm a Vietnamese myself and this spring roll reminds me of home. The salad roll is not so special because they follow the common way of making it like other restaurants.

I asked for a paper bag but they don't have it so they offered to put my food on a real plate if I eat there. Super friendly ladies if you talk to them :)

I recommend you want to have some food without any seasoning even salt. I visited here yesterday and i can say it was the most terrible vietnamese food i have ever eaten.

I can taste only oil flavour.
    It was really s**ks.

Okay, yeah, so I've never met a cuisine I didn't like, but Vietnamese food is a particular delight for me. When I try to explain it to people who haven't tried it yet, I usually say that it's sort of like a fusion of Chinese and French cooking, but that doesn't really do it justice.

At Vinam, I recommend the combo plate with roll dip, steamed crepes, and brochette. Other stuff is good, too, but those dishes are the ones which are most uniquely Vietnamese to me.

The food is delicious and the portions are huge for the price - any and all of the seafood soups or salad rolls are fantastic, and this place is a frequent favourite for me. Everything is fresh and flavourful, and I never regret coming.

My one single complaint is the brisk attitude of the servers - rarely do they smile, make small talk, or offer suggestions. But honestly, the food is so delicious and the service so quick that it's a quirk I overlook pretty easily.

In this post-HST era, I manage to find myself coming back for more. I come here for the usual Combo 3 - Skewer of Grilled Pork, Deep fried springroll & lettuce salad over a bed of rice / noodles (8/10)
The Goods - Pork skewer is usually very good (except for those odd days where it's a bit dried out). The star of the show is the roll dip. It's very authentic as it's wrapped in rice paper & deep fried.
